TEAM
We are a multidisciplinary team made up of more than 50 students and researchers from Universidad Panamericana, Campus Aguascalientes and Mexico City. In partnership with the MIT's Space Propulsion Lab, we develop this project since 2018.
PROYECTs





Pakal
It is a series of space missions in evolutionary stages which will test new space propulsion technology and a miniaturized mechanism capable of obtaining atmospheric density measurements in low Earth orbit. The data collected will make it possible to study atmospheric phenomena, climate change and contribute to the location of space debris.





CONSTELACIÓN AZTECHSAT
Ad astra, México.
"Constelación Aztechsat" is a collaboration with NASA and AEM in which 7 public and private universities in Mexico will join forces to launch a constellation of 4 nanosatellites to monitor marine life.
PROJECT STRUCTURE
This space laboratory has 12 technical and social work areas. Together, they join efforts to develop more complex projects.

SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
It is the unit focused on coordination and technical integration of every subsystem, so that we can achieve the establshed mission objectives.
It is the subsystem focused on processing and analyzing the information for the justification and scientific support of the project.

SCIENCE
This subsystem designs and executes the scientific experiments proposed in the mission, based on the specifications of the Science subsystem.

PAYLOAD
This subsystem is responsible for ensuring the proper flow of data through the interfaces and electronic components of the nanosat.

AVIONICS
It is the team responsible for ensuring that every electronic component of the nanosat has enough energy to work properly.

POWER
This subsystem studies the thermal variations that the nanosat will experience in orbit, related to heat sources that exist in space.

THERMAL
It is the subsystem in charge of the creation and implementation of robust and efficient software to operate the nanosatellite.

SOFTWARE
The objective of this subsystem is to establish a periodic transmission of data and information from the nanosatellite to the Ground Station, as well as to send a series of commands to the nanosatellite to allow its correct operation and control.

COMMUNICATIONS
Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) is the subsystem in charge of controlling the orientation of the satellite and activating the electric propulsion of the experiment

GNC & PROPULTION
This subsystem is responsible for designing, manufacturing and testing the nanosatellite structure so that it contains all the required elements and meets the standards set by the launch providers.

STRUCTURE
This team is responsible for the internal and external communication strategies of Colibri Mission.

MEDIA &
MARKETING
This team is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance (federal laws, regulations, information technology policies) to carry out Colibri Mission activities in both the U.S. and Mexico.
